EL MOSAICO PAMPEANO: GEOGRAFÍA Y BIENESTAR SEGÚN SUBREGIONES (1991-2001)

Más allá de la imagen positiva que, en términos generales, se tiene de la Región Pampeana, se reconoce que posee fuertes asimetrías internas. Este trabajo se propone medir y contribuir a la explicación de estas inequidades a través del análisis de un conjunto de indicadores socioeconómicos y ambientales significativos del grado de bienestar de la población para el último período intercensal (1991-2001). La información a nivel departamental (219 unidades) se ajustará mediante el uso de SIG a cada una de las subregiones, empleando particularmente dos capacidades funcionales específicas: la de ajuste difuso de información entre diferentes unidades espaciales y la capacidad de análisis de distribuciones espaciales de datos censales, estadísticas vitales e información ambiental.

 Beyond the positive perception people have of the Pampas we have to admit that this region has strong internal asymmetries. This work aim to measure and contribute to the explanation of these inequalities through the analysis of a set of significant environmental and socioeconomic indicators of the level of welfare of the people for the last intercensal period (1991-2001). The information at the departmental level (219 units) will be adjusted by using GIS to each of the subregions, using in particular two specific functional capabilities: the fuzzy adjustment of information between different spatial units and the ability to analyze spatial distributions by mapping thematic census data, vital statistics and environmental information.
